Lock Installation and Repair in New York City

Locks are our bread-and-butter as locksmiths. While our emergency locksmith service is always available for you when you’re in a crisis situation, we also enjoy meeting with you in less chaotic circumstances. If you’re serious about securing your home or business, there’s truly no one more qualified than a locksmith to help you go over your different options and select which one is best for you. And once we’ve done that, we’ll also order your locks for you and have one of our expert locksmiths install them at your residence or place of business. We make it easy from start to finish.

If you want to do a little advance research before meeting with one of our locksmiths, here are some of the lock options to consider:

Electronic Locks – Most commonly used in a commercial setting, electronic locks are an access control system that links a door lock to a keypad, biometric scanner, or card reader to allow people in and out of a room or business.

Jimmy Proof Deadbolts – Deadbolts certainly provide a much-needed first layer of security, but a jimmy proof deadbolt gives you extra protection against forced entry break-in attempts.

Cam Locks – A cam lock is a type of latch that is often used in cabinet construction. These types of locks allow doors to be held securely together from the inside without affecting the outward appearance.

Magnetic Locks – Typically used in conjunction with glass doors on commercial properties, magnetic locks consist of an electromagnet and an armature plate. These locks can be operated remotely and they’re sturdy, making them resistant to tampering.

Deadbolt Locks – A must for all exterior doors, a deadbolt makes a door more resistant to forced entry because it cannot be opened except by turning the key.

Electric Strikes – Electric strikes are a type of access control system most commonly used in commercial and industrial settings. Like magnetic locks, they can be operated remotely.

Mortise and Lever Handle Locks – These are the two most common types of locking door knobs used in personal residences. For interior doors, they offer just the right amount of security, but they are best complemented with the use of a deadbolt on exterior doors.

Although technically not locks, we also offer the installation of exit buttons and panic bars to help your business comply with fire codes and other safety regulations. These are mechanisms that allow employees and customers to exit a building with maximum efficiency.

We repair and install locks from almost every brand. Some of the trusted lock brands we work with include Kwikset, Schlage, Baldwin, Yale, Corbin Russwin, Mul-T-Lock USA, RR Brink, Medeco, EVVA, and ASSA ABLOY.
